MTC Science Team
After the summer school training, our science team was ready to teach thanks to Ms. Olivier's coaching. Although we taught at different schools, we all stayed in touch and continued to collaborate. They are always willing to offer advice and share resources.
Professional Learning Community
Ms. Olivier was my instructional coach at NPHS in my second year and she led our science team's weekly PLC meetings. She provides Ms. Herrick and I with feedback on instructional strategies and classroom management strategies after we analyze student data.
Working Together After School
Constructing different types of aircraft with students requires very clear instructions. Directions on paper, without any images, would be ineffective. Mr. Eshleman and I worked together to create presentations that would enable the students to understand the process. Attached on the right is the example of the "constructing hot air balloons" instructions. It included words, videos, and images.

Advice From Experienced MTC Teachers
Mr. Sedlacek was very supportive to the MTC class of 2013. He visited Jeff Drake, Melishia Grayson-Brooks, and I at our school in Greenville and invited teachers to dinner on several occasions throughout the two years. In the second year, we were reading research articles and discussing how we could apply the methods in the classroom!
